I was able to do a dream project for the Ad Council: celebrate Smokey Bear’s 75th birthday! As someone who’s passionate about combating climate change and helping the environment, I was thrilled to be asked to help the cause. These illustrations are used on billboards and bus stops around the USA, as well as on Smokey Bear’s personal website.
The client wanted the illustrations to span three regions in the US: the Smoky Mountains, the Southwest, and California.
Each illustration needed to hit home for people living in those regions, showcasing the natural beauty of these places while emphasizing the balance between human settlements and the surrounding landscape.
For the Smoky Mountains, I was asked to create three color versions to reflect the different seasons, including the majesty of fall.
